And Ys Origin Translation finally goes to beta testing
Hello guys
this is Doppiapunta.
As many of you already know we've worked over Ys Origin English patch for three years.
Well... there were some news in the past, followed by a deep silence and secret. No revelations were released since we wanted to be concentrated over the work and to devote all our efforts
aimin' to a final resul: a really good patch for all the Ys fans. Many people bored us, other wrote the project was dead and so on... never mind. Shut up...we are here!
So...after spendin' a lot of time translatin', editin' tons of images and hackin' many game aspects we finnlly reached the end.
Now all the text is translated, all the images are edited and the hackings are mature and completed.
In these hours I'm building a beta patch to distribute to three or four really trusted guys who will deeply test the English patch in order to avoid crashes or bugs.
As you all know the game is quite long: three different main stories with tons of dialogues.
It won't be easy but we are sure we will reach the final step: the release. So... for now... I can only post here some new screens just for your sake.
Stay tuned guys... the project isn't dead at all despite all the rumors of the last months.
actually that is kinda easy for this guys to translate, its for us that it is hard to translate the game, so we all have a lot to thank to this guys for making a translation of the game. more power and a lot of thanks for the work that you done, and we hope we can have a taste of the patch

Ciao aragazzi. chiunque voglia comunicare qualcosa è pregato di farlo via forum... ci siamo.. abbiamo solo avuto grossi problemi di spammers e molto è andato perso nelle varie ripulite...
Ciao Doppiapunta! Per la traduzione di Ys Oath potrei passarsi la versione Gog.com che dovrebbe essere identica alla versione Steam, così hai modo di vedere che succede. Non ho visto la discussione nel forum quindi ho scritto qui!
E' ufficialmente uscito Ys 7 per pc, se qualcuno trova degli shots o meglio dei filmati, oppure un commento tecnico o recensione, scriva informazioni. grazie!
Ragazzi aprimo una discussione evediamo cosa si può fare. Fino a quando non ho la versione di STEAM non posso dirvi nulla. Dubito che abbiano fatto migliorie, se non cambiare gli eseguibili, cosa che hanno sempre fatto , lasciando di fatto i bug irrisolti ed introducendone altri....vedi la versione di Ys Origin per windows 7 che proprio su windows 7 crasha nel finale.
Doppiapunta è possibile uniformare la traduzione di "Ys the oath in felghana" per la nuova versione uscita su steam ieri 19 Marzo 2012 (versione 1.2.1.0). Ci sono file con nomi diversi e con dimensioni magiori, la patch ita non viene installata correttamente. Per farla funzionare ho dovuto copiare i file della patch ufficiale 1.2.0.3 e poi applicare la traduzione. Però così si perde quello che hanno migliorato in questa versione. Grazie
Pare che XSEED stia approdando su Steam con alcuni titoli Falcom. Certo preferirei non finisse su una piattaforma con DRM e adoro ancora le scatole che fa la Falcom, ma forse una speranza che riprendano a fare giochi per PC c'è.
